§ 2-10. Destruction of city records
Latest version.
Duplicate and obsolete records of the City of Costa Mesa shall be destroyed by a means which will not allow them to be readily restored or reconstituted, and under the following procedure:
(a) In accordance with section 34090, section 34090.5, section 34090.7 and section 53921 California Government Code and other applicable law.
(b) After application for their destruction has been approved by the city attorney or his duly authorized representative.
(c) Upon approval by resolution of the city council after the aforesaid approval by the city attorney or his authorized representative has been granted.
