§ 15-25.1. Class A permits (owner-builder)

  • A Class A permit will be issued under the following circumstances and requirements:

    (a) The work to be performed is limited to residential sidewalk, residential drive approach (only if using an existing curb depression) and curb drains (only if the coring of a hole in the curb is done by a licensed contractor).

    (b) The applicant does not need a state contractor's license or a city business license.

    (c) Insurance requirements per section 15-27.1 must be complied with.

    (d) Applicant must, in addition to issuance and inspection fees, submit a cash deposit in an amount determined by the city engineer, to insure compliance with the permit conditions and the satisfactory completion of the work for which the permit was issued.
