§ 9-161. Variance from terms of article

Latest version.

The health officer may grant a variance from the terms of this article if he finds such action is necessary to protect the public health, safety or welfare. Such action may include the issuance of temporary ambulance or convalescent transport service licenses. Such variance or temporary license shall remain in effect for the period indicated by the health officer but not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days. When such a variance has been granted, the city manager shall be notified.
