§ 9-208.5. Notice to applicant of action on application

Within thirteen (13) working days of the filing of a completed application, the director
shall provide notice to the applicant of the action taken by telephone and by written
notice via personal delivery or facsimile if the applicant provides a fax number,
together with a list of conditions imposed if the application has been granted or,
if the application has been denied, the specific factual reason for the denial pursuant
to section 9-212. Unless the applicant has not allowed sufficient time to appeal to the city council
pursuant to section 9-208(b), the notice shall inform the applicant of his right to appeal to the city council
the denial of his application or any of the conditions imposed on the granting of
the application and shall state the last date on which such an appeal may be filed,
which shall be the seventh day after the date on which the notice was delivered, personally
or via facsimile, to the applicant. If the decision of the director is final, the
notice shall inform the applicant of his right to file a petition for writ of mandate
pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure Section 1094.6 or 1094.8.
