Formerly, § 5-27 pertained to the adoption of the 1978 National Electrical Code. Such section was deleted by Ord. No. 87-22, § 2, adopted Nov. 2, 1987, and no substantive provisions were included in lieu thereof. However, it should be noted that the title of such ordinance provides for the adoption by reference of the 1987 Edition of the National Electrical Code together with the Uniform Administrative Code provisions for the National Electrical Code (1987 Edition), and state law mandates the application of such code; see California Health and Safety Code, §§ 17958 and 17922.
