§ 2-235. Contract membership with PERS

Latest version.

(a) The city council finds and determines that its employees have voted to participate in said PERS in lieu of and as replacing the city's pre-existing retirement plan and that city's and said employee's participation in said PERS is financially sound and beneficial to the general health, safety and welfare.

(b) That the city hereby adopts and agrees to participate in said PERS pursuant to contract and Government Code section 20000 et seq.
