§ 15-25.2. Class B permits (licensed contractor)

  • A Class B permit will be issued under the following circumstances and requirements:

    (a) A Class B permit is required for all work performed in the public right-of-way which is not limited to the scope of a Class A permit (see section 15-25.1(a)) or exempted by section 15-25

    (b) The applicant is required to be licensed by the State of California to perform the type of contracting work stipulated on said permit. The applicant also must have a city business license prior to issuance of any Class B permit.

    (c) Insurance requirements per section 15-27.1 must be complied with.

    (d) Applicant must submit a cash deposit or bond in an amount determined by the city engineer, to insure compliance with the permit conditions and the satisfactory completion of the work for which the permit is issued.
